Mexican TV revealed the almost unbelievable story - in 2007, a baby 'alien' was found alive by a farmer in Mexico.
He drowned it in a ditch out of fear, and now two years later scientists have finally been able to announce the results of their tests on this sinister-looking carcass.
At the end of last year the farmer, Marao Lopez, handed the corpse over to university scientists who carried out DNA tests and scans.
He claimed that it took him three attempts to drown the creature and he had to hold it underwater for hours.
Tests revealed a creature that is unknown to scientists - its skeleton has characteristics of a lizard, its teeth do not have any roots like humans and it can stay underwater for a long time. But it also has some similar joints to humans.
Its brain was huge, particularly the rear section, leading scientists to the conclusion that the odd creature was very intelligent.

Strange Babies
There are many reports throughout history of strange, abnormal looking babies being born. Some cases, such as an Indian girl born with four arms and four legs, are legitimate cases of a baby being born deformed. Other cases, such as the alleged case of the birth of the Jersey Devil, are more questionable. In reality, a baby being born deformed may be uncomfortable and unfortunate socially, but it's not unprecedented.
What I want to write about today though are a couple of links I found on one my favorite sites, paranormal.about.com. The site is frequently updated with links to news articles that have a paranormal twist, and two of today's links had to do with unusual babies.
One involved a goat, who allegedly gave birth to a humanlike kid. I'm not even going to bother and include an excerpt from the article because the article didn't bother to include a picture. I mean come on...it's not like this was bigfoot or nessie, where people usually only get a quick glimpse. This was a goat that allegedly gave birth to a humanlike kid....they had plenty of time to get a picture! The Greeks and Romans had stories of fauns, creatures with a human torso, goat legs, and goat horns on their head...if a goat gave birth to something like this...they certainly need to get a picture of it! Furthermore...I don't know much about the website that reported the birth. It was reported on talkzimbabwe.com...which may or may not even be a credible website.
But the birth of a 'faun' wasn't the only unusual baby in the news this week. There was also a report of alien baby in Mexico. Apparently this 'baby' was found a couple of years ago, but it made the news this week because scientists have just now released the results of their tests. Here's an excerpt:
Read the rest of the article here. The article even includes video. The report comes from The Daily Telegraph, an Australian newspaper that is owned by News Corporation (the company that owns FOX). I looked around the website and it seems like it is a fairly normal news site. So either this 'baby' is a legitimate unknown lifeform, or a very elaborate hoax. Honestly, I thought the 'baby' look sculpted, but I guess if scientists have examined it and determined it to be some type of biological entity, then this ought to be big news. Whether or not it's an alien from outer space or just some genetically engineered creature from earth, this is still a big find if it is legit.
It's to bad the farmer drowned it. If it had been allowed to live, this could be an even more interesting find. I can't help but wonder though if a skilled taxidermist didn't create the 'baby' from the remains of other known creatures. The farmer may have even been in cahoots with the creator and made up a story of drowning it just to explain why it was already dead. But if it was artificially created, it would have had to been a very precise piece of work to be able to fool the scientists into thinking it was legit.
Hopefully we'll be hearing some more about this find soon.

Wow...that's weird. I looked up some information on that baby...it looks like a lot of people think it is what they call a 'harlequin baby'. Apparently it's some sort of rare deformity.

Thanks for the update anonymous. It certainly isn't a pretty site. Although I don't think it looks all that humanlike. Just looks like a deformed goat to me.
