Maybe Einstein was right afterall

A while back, I wrote a post mentioning a couple of articles that reported researchers at CERN had measured neutrinos traveling slightly faster than light.  That was pretty big news, since the speed of light was supposed to be the top speed in the universe.

But now they aren't so sure about those measurements.  A new report from the Telegraph says a bad connection between a GPS unit and a computer may have affected the reading.  Read the report here.

  1. This is exciting and so confusing at the same time. I think we're starting into an arena of physics that isn't like using a microscope--it's really hard to wrap our minds around and get verifiable data. Still, physicists are my heroes. I think it's a cooler journey than space.
